I'm originally from Perú ... in South America

I'm the founder of Apoyo Courses Ltd. and I started my professional journey as a tour guide and leader.

Fate had a delightful twist when I met my husband during one of my tours – he was my tourist!

After enduring a three-year long-distance relationship, we happily tied the knot. We've been living in the UK,  in the lovely city of Bristol, for the past 18 years. Our family has grown, and we now cherish our time with our two amazing children. Life's journey has been quite an adventure, and I'm grateful to share a little piece of it with you!

How I landed in the mental health and DEI Field

In our wonderfully diverse world, embracing our differences isn't always straightforward, and finding where we belong can pose its own set of challenges.

Personally, as a native Spanish speaker, I've navigated through my own hurdles, and I truly understand the significance of inclusivity.

Also, I've encountered my share of mental health struggles. During those times, the confusion and uncertainty about my emotions were overwhelming. Experiencing post-natal depression with my first child and episodes of anxiety added another layer to my personal journey.

Through it all, I've come to deeply appreciate the importance of prioritising mental health and well-being. Moreover, I advocate passionately for racial equity and inclusion, recognising their essential roles in shaping a more empathetic and harmonious society.

How I can Help

In our fast-paced and often demanding world, mental health issues have become increasingly prevalent.

To contribute positively, I offer mental health first aid courses that provide individuals with essential tools and knowledge. These courses enable participants to recognise and respond to mental health challenges effectively, creating a network of support during difficult times. The aim is to diminish stigma, cultivate empathy, and promote a culture of understanding.

Additionally, through courses like Race Ahead and diversity, equity, and inclusion programmes, I actively address systemic inequalities and racial disparities that persist in society.

By delivering these initiatives, I empower individuals and organisations to proactively work towards creating more equitable environments.

This ensures that everyone, regardless of their background, has an equal opportunity to thrive.
